After the third elimination it settles in that every week, one model will be sent home and only one will become Asia’s Next Top Model. With this in mind, the competition gets tough and the girls realise they need to up their game to be on top

Challenge 1: For the first challenge, the contestants are greeted by Georgina and Senior Artist from M.A.C. Cosmetics Singapore, Beno Lim, at the M.A.C. studio. For this challenge, the girls have 15 minutes to re-create one of six make-up looks hot this season on their partners – the “no-makeup” look is dubbed the most difficult to achieve.

Joey crashes the Model House: Joey surprises the girls at the house to check-up on how they are doing and to give expert advice – Monika breaks down as she realizes her weaknesses as a model. Model mentor tip: to be a top model you must be loud and show all of your personality.

Challenge 2: The girls get intimate with a handsome male model in a steamy Shanghai themed photoshoot. Many of the girls let their lust and emotions get in the way, compromising the fashion aspect of the shoot.

The winner: Monika from the Philippines. I agreed with the judges. They really know who did it well. Monika nailed it. She just feels comfortable and very used to posing in front of the camera be it with a stranger or anyone else.

In this episode, the judges realise that a line needs to be drawn between the contestants who are just girls from the models in Cycle 3. This week’s deliberation brought a harsh twist in the series with a double elimination being announced - shocking contestants and bringing them all to tears. So, Lorretta and Celine had to end their journey in becoming the Asia's Next Top Model.

Quotes of the Week …

“What we’re looking for girls, is that one great model spokeswoman, that’s why we keep pressuring to see more of you, more personalities of you. Yes, it’s great what we see in the photoshoots, but somehow we have to be a little bit louder.” – Joey’s advice on what kind of model Asia’s Next Top Model should be

“She’s like a loaf of stale bread” – Peter Som on a model’s photoshoot performance

“It’s that part of the competition where we really need to separate the girls and the models. We have to shake things up this week.” – Georgina during the deliberation
