Disclaimer: Sponsored. Things I am going to share with you guys are my personal opinion based on my
experience.
I was invited by Hazel to visit Glomax Aesthetics to try one of their facial treatment. I was sceptical at
first because the first time I went for facial was not a good one, not the result but the experience. It was
few years back, 5 years a go to be exact. It was painful and I didn't want to go for any facials after that.
But when I received the invite from Hazel, I straight away read some reviews online. Actually, I've
seen their Facebook Page already before they even invited me. They mainly promote their award
winning facial treatment for acne prone skin. Since I am having a bad breakout, I thought of giving it a
try. So I prepared myself already. Although Hazel told me that it is a non-obligatory blog review, I still
think that it is worth the blog.

Glomax is located on the 6th floor of the building. Upon stepping in, I was welcomed by Pik San.
Although the place is small in size and with office-style set up, it is clean and cozy.
Before the treatment, Pik San did a 1 to 1 consultation to access my skin condition and lifestyle before
suggesting the right treatment for me. I was told that I have a very oily skin though I was wearing make
up and my face was seriously oily, maybe it was because of PMS. She also talked about how acne is
formed but I am not going to talk about it here, it will be a long boring post. To finish up the
consultation, she decided that I have to go for their award winning, Intensive Acne Medic Treatment.

I mentioned earlier that the place has an "office-setting" but to my surprise, the environment in the
treatment room is very far compared to the consultation area. The room has a nice soothing scent and a
calming soft music playing in the background.

This is my with make up on. You can actually the pimple in my forehead and below my right cheek.
The rest are hiding behind my makeup. You'll see them (pimples/acne scars) later.

Face with make up before treatment
Before Pik San started the treatment, she removed my make up first with a cleansing milk followed by a
cleansing gel. She told me that Milk Cleanser is better for my skin type. I forgot to take a picture after
she removed it but Glomax took some using their camera to post it online. OH MY GEE!

I actually though Pik San will do the treatment for me but she was replaced by Evon, the director and
founder of Glomax Aesthetics. Imagine your treatment being done by the owner itself. The first step
was the Sonic Cleansing using a spatula -like handheld device to remove whiteheads, without any
pain. My skin was dramatically smooth after.

Sonic Cleansing
After which, extraction manually was done to get rid of the impurities embedded deep within. I asked
her if it'll be super painful and without any hesitation she replied YES. I won't deny that it was seriously
painful. I was crying while Evon was extracting the impurities. After the extraction I looked at my face
and it was hella red and some were bleeding. But she told me that it was pretty normal so I didn't mind.
PS: My friend Nicah, told me that she could actually hear me in the consultation area screaming while
doing the extraction.

Face after the extraction
After the extraction, Evon used a high frequency machine to kill the bacteria around the surface of my
skin. I felt a slight tingling sensation but it was bearable. Kinda pain when it touched the area that has
bumpiness.

Followed by an IPL. Evon applied a generous amount of a cold protective gel before she starts the IPL
- Intense Pulse Light. It is to rebalance the sebum level. I felt a warm shots and seen a bright light
though I my eyes were closed and covered.

The last step was a cooling mask. My favourite step of all. It was very cooling and gentle but not a
pleasant look. I look scary though. It felt really nice and I nearly doze off too. I can't remember if Evon
or Pik San was doing the final application of moisturizer, serum and sun block.

With Evon, the Director and Founder of Glomax Aesthetics
Overall, I am happy with the result. My face seems to be smooth, soft and less bumpy. But I left the
place with a red-ish face because of the extraction I believe. Skin tone appeared to be brighter and more
even. I will update my skin on my facebook page/twitter/instagram. I am actually planning on booking
my next appointment in my own expense since I am loving the result already. I'm on my 2nd week
now and so far, no pimples yet. I am currently dealing with my post acne scars.

Bare face after treatment. Sore and red-ish.
