October is my parents' birthday month and November 24th is their wedding anniversary. This year is very special for them as they will celebrate their Silver Wedding Anniversary. So my dad surprised my mom with a Trip to Korea. Of course, I did not let them go on their own. Being the only child I get to go on their "Sweet Escape" (haha).
October 31st, the day of our departure. It was a 7 hr journey to Korea, because we passed by Philippines, Hong Kong and China. The longest hour I've travelled so far. So we arrived in Incheon International Airport earlier than expected. Their airport's air-cons were not on. I was expecting a cold weather upon arrival, but the moment I stepped out of the airport, it was freaking cold. I am not exaggerating the weather but it was seriously cold. It was 3 degree celsius. I must admit, I was praying for a single digit when we arrived, coz I was thinking that 10 degree celsius is not that cold. I thought it would be the same as Genting Highlands. But Papa God answered my prayer. It was nearly 0 degree when we arrived. I wasn't expecting it to be that cold. I underestimated the weather. I only brought one jacket along. I should have listened to my parents. They brought a winter jacket with them and I didn't. Anyhoo, the whole trip I was wearing 3 layers of clothes.
*I did not capture most of our trip, because the weather was freaking cold and I didn't want to expose my camera that much. It was foggy.*

Day 5: Yodoi Full Gospel Church (Biggest Church in the World)
We went to the places where the famous "Koreanovela" (Korean TV series) like Winter Sonata and Jewel in the Palace shot their scenes. The places were really lovely. I fell in love with the leaves. Maple tree is indeed very beautiful. Be it in green, yellow or red.
Places in Korea is not the highlight of my trip. Everyone knows I am addicted in skin care products lately. This is the best time and best place for me to shop. Why? The price is 50% (or more) cheaper than here in Singapore. My skincare is from Etude House, 1 toner is SGD24, but to my surprise, it is only KRW11,000 (SGD12) in Seoul. See the difference? So I took advantage and shop like crazy. Good thing I was able to control my spending.
I didn't like Korea before. In fact, I hated it just because of ONE STUPID reason. Really.. But after my trip, I told myself, that reason is not acceptable to hate this place and never will be. Spare that. I will definitely come back. I love this place.
